We’re grateful to the Park Service and Park Police for all that they do to make every 4th of July a huge success.   As we look back over the years – even with the tension of 7/4/02 which was the first 4th after 9/11/01 – things have been really smooth.  We’ve seen a lot of groups (some pretty wild) come and go — but God has been gracious to give us a spot each year on the Mall!

Again this year, we want to thank Washington Bible College for opening up a large gathering area for us to meet, pray, connect and get ready for another awesome year of churches and ministries linking together for outreach on the Mall.  Please be in prayer with us as we draw closer to the 4th!

We’re trying to add more band spots this year and maybe another stage for more bands.  The spots are filling up.  So, we’re asking bands to connect with us as soon as possible.  Thanks for all of the interest to be part of the festival this year!

We had a great Leadership Team last year and everyone is coming back this year to serve together once again.  We’re hoping to do more ministry in the areas of our kids ministry, hospitality/service outreach (e.g., we’re hoping to give away over 100,000 cups of free water this year) and more outreach tents too.

It’s exciting to see how things are really coming together for our 24th Annual FreedomFestDC this coming July 4, 2009!   We believe that even more churches and ministries will be joining in together down on the Mall to reach out to the thousands who need a connection with Jesus Christ!
