Linking churches and ministries together for outreach every July 4th on the National Mall
Just as a reminder, our final Evangelism Training is on Thursday, July 2nd at 7:00 pm at Washington Bible College, 6511 Princess Garden Parkway (main lounge area).
SETTING UP THE SITE
~ July 3rd: From 10:00 am – 8:00 pm, we will be setting up tents, staging and the sound system. Pray for good weather!
VOLUNTEERS ON THE 4TH
~ July 4th: We’re asking the first shift volunteers to be on site at 10:00 am. There will be a special worship time for volunteers at 12:00 noon at the main stage.
The outreach program begins right after the prayer time and continues to 8:45 pm. The festival will take place between the Air & Space Museum and The National Gallery of Art, bordering 4th St. and 7th St., NW – on the middle grass area.
Some FreedomFestDC Outreach Team members have been down on the Mall this week connecting with people and sharing the gospel too. The Smithsonian Folk Festival is a great place to go and just strike up spiritual conversations with people. I find that many people are really seeking for something more — I love what Jesus said in John 10:10 – “I came so they can have real and eternal life – more and better life than they ever dreamed of …”
WAVA 105.1 has been partnering with Christ On the Mall and FreedomFestDC for over 15 years. We’re grateful to WAVA and General Manager, Tom Moyer, for all of their support. Together, we want to bring even more churches and ministries together for outreach this year!
We just want to thank the Lord for his provision and for all that he has done in answering so many prayers – and for working in the hearts of so many people to take the life-changing message of Jesus Christ beyond the four walls of a church to people on the Mall — and all over the DC Metro area. It’s going to be another great 4th!
Take advantage of the Evangelism Training this year. If you’re new to sharing your faith with people or if you’ve been doing it for a while, stop by one of the training sessions to connect with others and learn how to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in simple, connecting ways – even in a brief encounter with someone. This year we will also have special training on sharing Christ with internationals. We’ll even have special Jesus Project videos to give out that area translated in over 20 languages.
