Linking churches and ministries together for outreach every July 4th on the National Mall
Not only are there a large number of churches from around the area coming to the Mall to serve together, churches from as far away as Washington state and Arizona are coming to serve this year.
A number of people from different churches and ministries got together last night for a time of sharing, connecting and praying for FreedomFEST 2007. We really sense that this year is going to be a time of grassroots outreach. That means that we will have even more “frontline” outreach tents this year positioned at all four corners of our event area. And, we will have at least two outreach tents near the walkway – right in front of the Air & Space Museum. If you’ve never done outreach like this, it’s really something to experience so many people who are spiritually hungry and curious really engage us on the Mall! We will be offering training to anyone who wants it on site on July 4th beginning at 11:00 am at the main stage Prayer Tent. We hope to see you there on the 4th!
We have two city blocks of space again this year. And, once again we’ll have a kids/students ministry area and adult ministry area. Except this year we will have more activities and at another stage too. We’re excited about many churches and bands coming back this year too. Watch for details on the multi-church worship and connection coming in mid-June.
Our hope and prayer for 2007 is to more than double our outreach efforts with more churches and more people connecting together to share Christ on the Mall on July 4th.
